Which Pretty Me kit should I choose for her age?
As a rough map: the Unicorn Musical Jewelry Box for ages 3 to 8, the Headband Making Kit for 5 to 12, the Nail Art Studio for 7 to 12, the Friendship Bracelet Making Kit for 8 to 12 and the DIY Journal Kit for 8 to 14. The Wall Collage Kit, Nail Art Pens and Temporary Tattoo Markers are made for tweens and teens. Every kit page shows its age range.
Is the nail polish safe, and does it come off?
Our nail polish and nail art pens are water-based and non-toxic. They are made for play, so the colour washes off easily and can be redone as often as she likes.
How long do the tattoos last?
Glitter tattoos from the Tattoo Studio can last for days and come off with soap, water and a washcloth. Foil tattoos are shorter-lived. Tattoo marker ink is water-resistant, stays bright for days and may need several washes to remove.
My child has sensitive skin. Anything to watch?
Try a small patch first, especially with the body glue in the Glitter & Shimmer Tattoo Studio, and do not use nail or tattoo products on irritated skin. Stop if there is any reaction.
Can she do it without me?
Mostly, yes. Each box has an illustrated guide. Five and six year olds usually want help with glue, and a first friendship bracelet often needs the pattern shown once or twice.
Is one kit enough for a party?
Often it is. One Headband Making Kit makes 10 headbands, the Tattoo Studio has more than 85 designs, and the Nail Art Studio carries over 200 stickers. Plan for turns rather than a kit each.
Does anything need batteries?
No. The Unicorn Musical Jewelry Box is wind-up, with a key at the back, and none of our craft kits use power.
Where do I buy, and who handles my order?
