Who sets the table

Somebody has to lay out the ribbon, count the rhinestones and check that the glue is in the box. That is us. Pretty Me is a small maker of craft and beauty kits for girls, and our whole range fits on one table.

Why we started with a table

Watch a group of girls at a sleepover and you will notice the same thing we did: the screens go down when there is something to make. Not something to watch being made. Something with pieces, a bit of risk, and a result she can wear to school on Monday.

So every Pretty Me kit is built as one complete project. The supplies, the tools and an illustrated guide are all inside. A grown-up should be able to hand over the box and get back to their coffee.

The sentence we design for

“I made this myself!” It is printed on the side of our headband kit. If a prototype does not get a child to say it out loud, the prototype goes back to the workshop.
