Pretty Me Nail Art Pens, 10 Colors

0.5 mm tips for tiny masterpieces

5.0 · 2 ratings

Ten nail polish pens with 0.5 mm tips, made for drawing straight onto nails. Hearts, flowers, smiley faces, checkerboards, flames: if you can doodle it in the margin of a notebook, you can wear it by Friday.

  • 10 colours for outlining, layering and mixing looks
  • 0.5 mm fine-point tips for thin lines, dots and tiny details
  • Water-based, cosmetic-grade, non-toxic formula
  • Quick-drying, so designs set before they smudge
  • Shake, press, draw: easy enough for a first-time nail artist

How it works at the table

A brush is hard to steer. A pen is something you have held since kindergarten. That is the whole idea behind these: the pen shape gives you control over thin lines, dots and small details that a regular polish brush smudges.

The ink is a water-based, cosmetic-grade formula with no harsh chemicals, and it dries quickly so your design survives the next five minutes. To start, shake the pen to mix the colour, press the tip down to wake up the ink, then draw. Ten colours means you can outline, layer and change your mind.

Great nail pen to DIY nail art!

Loving these nail art pens! I love doodling on my nails and am always on the lookout for products that are good quality and make it easy. This was a wonderful find for $10. The set came with 10 colors and an extra sealer coat in a twist top pen. The colors are vibrant and flow smoothly through the tip. It helps to press down on the tip and hold it down for 1-2 seconds to get the ink flowing. It wasn’t until I reached my 5th nail that I needed to push down on the pen again to get the ink flowing. What I liked about these pens was that the nib is firm so it makes it easy to control fine lines/dots. I usually use an acrylic paint pen and I prefer these nail art pens over them because it was easier to make finer designs and control the ink without worrying about overflow. The paint in these pens dried fairly quickly. I was able to wipe off a dot I made accidentally right away. The paint took about 20 seconds to dry fully so by the time I finished a nail the previous one was done drying. The only thing I noticed was for longer lines, it might need 2-3 layers to be fully opaque. I did 2 and from far it looks fine but when looked at closely, you can see that the line is not evenly opaque (see single nail pic). The sealant included was a fun surprise and works a lot better than I had thought it would. The twist top took some turning to get the sealer flowing. It has a very mild nail polish like smell that was gone as soon as it dried. It took under a minute to dry and I liked that it didn’t smear the polish or painted on design. I did end up applying a quick dry top coat (QTDC), that I always use when I do nail art, on the other nails to see if they would differ. The QDTC did smear some of the paint pen ink while the sealer that it came with the set did not. The sealer also dried faster than the QTDC. If I could, I would absolutely buy more of the sealer because I don’t know if the amount in the sealer pen will last for the use of all the pens. After I was done using it, I just wiped it off on a scrap paper and it did not dispense any more sealer. These might be my new go to nail art pens as long as they hold up well with normal wear and tear. I will update the review if this doesn’t last as long. It is definitely a good product for anyone starting off or interested in trying to doodle their own nail art. It is super easy to use, it dries fast so you don’t have to worry about smudging and has a good selection of basic colors so you have some options to get creative! Great gifts for girls!

These nail art pens are alot of fun! I would say they are more like markers verses pens. They are suppose to be 0.5 mm fine line tips. The markers are non toxic. Very easy to use. Just shake, push the tip down and then draw. Again I don't feel these are very fine tip markers but they still let you design cute things. The pens are easy to hold and comfortable. My daughters really like them and have fun using them! You get 10 different colors and one protectant coat brush pen. This has a twist top to get the liquid out. Then you have to rinse the brush out afterwards so it doesn't dry out and get hard. Also is a great price. Cheaper price for hours of fun! Thats a win in my book.
